A pair of easy fingerless mitts worked in a rib pattern flat and then seamed together.

Description

This is a pair of easy ribbed mitts that are worked flat, then seamed leaving a hole for the thumb. The self-striping yarn adds visual interest, while both pieces can be made with one skein, making these mitts a great stash busting project.

Finished Size: 7 ½” hand circumference (stretched) and 7″ long.
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Green Line Worsted (100% organic merino; 210 yd [191 m]/100 g): #501 argyle (red/blue), 1 skein.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 18 sts and 25 rows = 4″ in rib patt, stretched.
Needles: Size 8 (5 mm) needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: 4 pins, yarn needle.
