Description

Made with a bulky yarn, this hat works up super fast and has a fun and funky attitude. Alpaca silk–blend yarn worked at a loose gauge gives the casual, textured hat plenty of drape.

Finished Size: 18 1/2 (20, 20 3/4)” circumference to fit 19–20 1/2 (20 1/2–22 1/2, 21 1/2–23)” head circumference, about 11″ tall, excluding earflaps.
Yarn: The Fibre Co. Tundra (distributed by Kelbourne Woolens) (60% baby llama, 30% merino wool, 10% silk; 120 yd/[109 m]/ 3 1/2 oz [100 g]; 5): allium, 2 (2, 3) hanks.
Hook: Size M/13 (9 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: St markers (m); yarn needle; two 1 1/4″ buttons; sewing needle and matching thread; 4 1/2″ wide piece of cardboard (for pom-pom).
Gauge: 9 1/2 sts and 13 rows = 4″ in moss patt; Rnds 1–5 = 4″.
