A bold but quickly knitted accessory, the Flames Shawl features a flame-and-ladder motif along the lower border, creating a natural, subtle curve to the edge. This shawl is worked back and forth in rows from a sidepoint to the opposite side edge.

SPECIFIC YARN USED The Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering (75% extra fine Italian superwash merino wool, 20% cashmere, 5% nylon; 385 yd 352 m/3½ oz 100 g): tomato jam, 3 skeins.
NEEDLES SIZE 4 (3.5 mm): 29” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Marker (m); tapestry needle.
GAUGE 22 sts and 44 rows = 4” in garter st.
