Description

Katie Himmelberg turns traditional Fair Isle on end with three short-row wedges that combine in the vertical-stripe Felicity Hat. Slightly heathered jewel tones in alpaca create a luminous background for a traditional snowflake motif.

Finished Size 19″ circumference; will stretch to 23″ head circumference.
Yarn Berocco Ultra Alpaca Light (50% alpaca, 50% wool; 144 yd [133 m]/50 g): #4204 buckwheat (MC), #4208 couscous (A), #4287 denim mix (B), #4280 mahogany mix (C), #4275 pea soup mix (D), and #4279 potting soil mix (E), 1 skein each.
Yarn Weight #3 – Light
Needles Body. size 5 (3.75 mm): straight. Ribbing. size 4 (mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 24 sts and 34 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles using MC.
