Carbon-based Damascus steel can be etched to create wonderful raised patterns that can be used to roll print metals or shaped and set into jewelry as a stone would be.

Required Materials: Damascus carbon steel, Ferric chloride, Distilled water, Painter’s tape. See project for complete list.


Tools Needed: Rolling mill, Eye protection, Nitrile or rubber gloves, Old toothbrush, Digital timer
