The featherweight Erosion Shawl features a soothing single-color lace pattern balanced by two-color garter-stitch stripes on each narrow end. The bright wool/silk yarn adds a pop of color to any outfit.

Description

The Erosion Shawl is the perfect project for a leisurely summer afternoon. It works up easily and is perfect for the intermediate knitter looking for a fun and versatile knitwear project. This shawl is worked back and forth in one piece from tip to tip. After casting on, stitches are gradually increased to the center point, then decreased to the end.

Finished size: 63″ wide and 20″ deep at center.

Specific Yarn Used: Fibra Natura Whisper Lace (70% superwash wool, 30% silk; 440 yd 402 m]/13/4 oz [50 g]): #103 Harbor (blue; MC) and #113 Tango (red; CC), 1 ball each (see Notes). Yarn distrib-uted by Universal Yarn.

Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle.

Gauge: 0 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in Lace patt; 24 sts and 44 rows = 4″ in garter st.
