These crochet cables are so easy, you will become obsessed! Worked in the round from the top down with DK-weight yarn, the mini-cables meander down the hat and mittens in a beautiful chain-like fashion.

Entwined Cables Hat:

Finished Size: 12 (14, 16, 18)” head circumference to be worked with 2½ ” negative ease and 5½ (6¾ , 7½ , 9)” long.
Specific Yarn Used: Green Mountain Spinnery Mewesic (100% fine American wool; 180 yd [165 m]/ 2 oz [58 g]; #8077 green eyed lady, 1 (1, 2, 2) skeins.
Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm) hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Removable stitch marker (m); yarn needle.
Gauge:16 sts and 14 rnds = 4″ in cable patt.
Notes:

  • The hat is worked in continuous rounds without joining. Place marker to indicate beginning of rounds. Move marker as work progresses.
  • Work single crochet in single crochet and post stitches around post stitches unless otherwise stated.
