Description

The designer refines a rustic, subtly rippling lace panel with a crunchy, slubby silk-blend tweed. A ribbed waist and a dramatically buttoned back add girly vintage appeal to this cardigan. Functional buttons up the back are a sweetly vintage touch.

Finished Size: 32 ½ (36 ½, 40 ½, 44 ½, 48 ½)” bust circumference, including ¾” buttonband. Sweater shown measures 32 ½”, modeled with about 1″ negative ease.
Yarn: GGH Silky Tweed (55% wool, 25% silk, 20% acrylic; 137 yd [125 m]/50 g): #3 taupe, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10) balls. Yarn distributed by Muench.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles; 29 sts of lace panel measure about 7 ¼” wide.
Needles: Body and sleeves-size 7 (4.5 mm): 32″ circular (cir). Buttonbands-size 6 (4 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
