Description

Knit a basic drop-shoulder sweater that goes with everything! The Ebony Pullover features simple shapes and stitches and knits up quickly on size 19 needles. Newer and experienced knitters alike will enjoy the meditative act of forming exaggerated stitches in a delightful wool-alpaca blend that shows off the best of both fibers—elasticity, stitch definition, bloom, drape, and body.

Finished Size: 34½ (39½, 44¼, 49¼, 54¼)" bust circumference (see Notes). Pullover shown measures 49¼".

Specific Yarn Used: Tahki Yarns Nevada (70% organic virgin wool, 30% alpaca; 49 yd [45 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #04 stone grey, 6 (6, 7, 8, 9) balls.
Needles: Sizes 17 (12.75 mm) and 19 (15 mm): straight. Size 19 (15 mm): 16" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; removable m; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 6½ sts and 9 rows = 4" in St st on smaller needles.
Notes: The measurements shown on the schematic include all stitches for blocking purposes, but the stitches used in the one-stitch seam allowances at each side do not count toward the finished bust circumference.
