Description
The organic shape of drusy cabochons can make these stones challenging to set and incorporate into jewelry. But they’re natural beauty make them an incredible statement piece, especially when made into a pendant. Designer Kieu Pham Gray found a creative way to set a drusy cab without covering up any of its shine. Do it yourself with this fun and unique project!

- Drusy freeform cabs
- 4-5″ x 1/4, 26g sterling silver bezel wire
- 20 -26″ 1.2mm sterling silver bead chain and terminations
- 1 3mm (od) 19g sterling silver open jump rings
- Solder (easy)
- Linseed oil
- Flux
- Pickle
- 400, 500, 600 sandpaper
- #0000 steel wool
Tools: Metal files, torch with fine tip, soldering surface, tire tweezers (cross-locking are best), ultra-flush wire cutters, chain nose pliers, rotary tool, #47 diamond drill bit, #65 HSS drill bit, wooden mandrel or bench pin, safety goggles, forming stake, bench block or anvil
