Description

Interesting techniques—cast-ons, short-rows, double knitting, and more—are worked into a simple, cozy sweater. Twisted cords cinch the openings.

Finished Size: 40 (44, 48, 52, 56)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 40”, modeled with 8” of positive ease.
Yarn: Shibui Knits Staccato (70% superwash merino, 30% silk; 191 yd [175m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #2023 clay (MC), 8 (9, 9, 10, 11) balls. Shibui Knits Silk Cloud (60% kid mohair, 40% silk; 330 yd [302 m])/7/8 oz [25 g]): #2023 clay (CC), 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) balls.
Needles: Body – size 6 (4 mm) two 24” circulars (cir). Cowl – size 8 (5 mm): 16: cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker (m); removable m; waste yarn for provisional CO; stitch holders; tapestry needle; small safety pin.
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4” in St st with 1 strand each of MC and CC held tog on smaller needle.
