This rug is both lacy and practical! Worked in two shades of bulky-weight, machine-washable yarn, the Double Bud Rug will fit perfectly in front of your kitchen sink or bathroom vanity. The layers are worked separately and joined at the end to make a single piece. Tassels are then added for a bit of flair.

Finished size: 38″ wide and 18″ deep, excluding fringe.

Yarn: Scheepjes Chunky Monkey (100% acrylic; 127 yd [116 m]/ 31/2 oz [100 g]; ): #2012 deep turquoise (MC), #1054 tawny (CC), 4 balls each.

Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary, to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: 6 1/2″ wide cardboard piece, 1; yarn needle.

Gauge: Lining: 14 sts and Rows 1–14 (in diameter) = 4″.
