Description

Even in the South, you sometimes need something to wrap up in. A lot of folks down here don’t even own winter coats, but a cozy cardigan is just the right amount of weight and warmth. This one is worked in a wool-silk blend that’s next-to-the-skin soft, so go ahead and wear short sleeves!

Finished Size: About 36 (44, 52, 60)” (91.5 [112, 132, 152.5] cm) bust circumference.
Sweater shown measures 36″ (91.5 cm).

Yarn: DK weight (#3 Light).
Shown here: Sincere Sheep Luminous (85% wool, 15% silk; 330 yd [302 m]/4 oz [115 g]), cumulus (light gray), 5 (6, 7, 8) skeins.

Needles: Ribbing, front bands, and collar: Size U.S. 5 (3.75 mm): 40″ (100 cm) or longer circular (cir). Body and sleeves: Size U.S. 6 (4 mm).
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); cable needle (cn); waste yarn; tapestry needle; six 3⁄4″ (2 cm) buttons.

Gauge: 27 sts and 31 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in Argyle Cable Chart on size 6 needles.
