Working with just one color on every row, the designer carries slip stitches up the bodice of this pullover to provide shape and structure. High ribbing, carefully placed darts, and a drapey alpaca blend add up to everyday refinement.

Finished Size: 31 ½ (36, 40 ½, 45, 49 ½)” bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 36″, modeled with about 2″ positive ease.
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk (50% alpaca, 50% silk; 146 yd [133 m]/50 g): #115 oyster (MC), 6 (7, 8, 9, 10) skeins; #132 ginger (CC), 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) skeins.
Yarn weight: #3 – Light
Gauge: 35 sts and 35 rows = 4″ in 1×1 rib on smaller needles with rib relaxed; 27 sts and 40 rows = 4″ in 1×1 rib on smaller needles with rib stretched so purl columns appear about half the width of knit columns; 28 ½ sts and 40 rows = 4″ in pinstripe patt on larger needles.
Needles: Body and sleeves-size 4 (3.5mm): 16″, 24″, and 32″ circulars (cir), and set of double-pointed (dpn). Ribbing- size 3 (3.25 mm): 24″ or 32″ circular (cir), and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
