The plaid pattern of this merry cap is created with simple, horizontal stripes that are embellished with vertical slip-stitch crochet columns.

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.
Gauge 22 sts and 35 rnds = 4″ in charted patt.
