Use knitted cables and lace knitting and work from the wide end to the narrow for an enjoyable project. Perfect for intermediate knitters, you’ll want to make a shawl in every one of your favorite colors.

Finished Size: 45” wide at CO edge, 54” tall, and 70” along diagonal shaped edge.

Specific Yarn Used: Green Mountain Spinnery Cotton Comfort (80% fine wool, 20% organic cotton; 180 yd 165 m/2 oz 58 g): Juniper, 7 skeins.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): 32” circular needle (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.


Notions: Cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.


Gauge: 20½ sts and 34 rows = 4” in Garter Spine patt (see Notes); 2 reps (10 to 14 sts; see Notes) measure about 4” wide and 31½ rows = 4” in patt from Dec Chart 1.
