And embroidery, and the I-cord tail on the back is worked separately and sewn on. The zipper at the bottom makes it easy to remove the case and wash it. This pillow is worked in the round from the bottom up.

Specific Yarn Used: Knit Picks Swish Worsted (100% fine superwash Merino wool; 110 yd [100 m]/1 3/4 oz [50 g]): #24662 White (MC), 4 skeins; #23876 Black (A), 2 skeins; #25139 Peapod (green; B), #24668 Carnation (pink; C), and #24663 Serrano (red; D), 1 skein each.

Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holder; spare 16″ or 24″ cir needle same size or smaller than main needle; 18″ zipper; 2 triangular pieces of 1 1/2″ thick batting 5″ wide at base and 5″ tall; 18″ square pillow insert; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rnds = 4″ in St st.
