Description

A touch of nostalgic chic makes for a fun, super wearable, hat, and this quick-to-crochet project with a knitted ribbing requires little effort for a big payoff. “The fun bobblet stitch creates the bumpy fabric without being bulky” says designer Robyn Chachula. Please note, the pattern instructions for this hat use a knit ribbing, which can be substituted easily for a crocheted ribbing.

Finished Size: 20″ head circumference at brim

Yarn: Alpaca with a Twist Baby Twist (100% baby alpaca; 110 yd [100 m]/50 g): #3003 carnical red, 2 balls

Yarn Weight: #4 – Medium

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): two 16″ circular (cir) needles

Notions: Size G/6 (4.25 mm) crochet hook; Big-eye needle; Two 5/8″ buttons

Gauge: 19 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in st patt
