Description

Buffalo yarn is the ultimate in luxurious warmth. In fact, buffalo fiber offers such excellent insulation that a herd of buffalo in a snowstorm looks like a group of white rocks – the animals’ coats hold in their body heat. The yarn seems to expand as you knit it, producing a lush, velvety texture. For these slipper socks, Ann Budd modified the traditional feather-and-fan pattern to make a short wavy lace cuff.

Finished Size: 8″ foot circumference and 8¾” long from back of heel to tip of toe. To fit a woman’s size medium.
Yarn: Buffalo Gold 4-ply Artisan Worsted Weight (100% buffalo; 120 yd [109 m]/50 g): natural brown, 2 skeins.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium

Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): set of 4 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
