Pam Allen makes the most of velvety angora in a chunky weight in her Counterpane Pullover, punctuating a dense garter stitch ground with a distinctive lace motif. The front and back are first worked as squares from the center out, which then flow into sleeves, shoulders, and a funnel neck.

Finished Size: 34 (39, 44, 48)” bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 34″.
Yarn: Tahki Bunny (50% merino, 25% alpaca, 25% acrylic; 81 yd [74 m]/50 g): #008 red, 10 (11, 13, 15) balls.
Yarn weight: #5 – Bulky
Gauge: 12 ½ sts and 26 rows = 4″ in garter st.
Needles: Size 10 ½ (6.5 mm): double-pointed (dpn), 16″ and 29″ circulars (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); removable marker; waste yarn; stitch holders; tapestry needle.
