The front of this boatneck pullover is formed with an arrangement of counterpane squares. Each pane is worked from the center out then bound-off and joined into a “quilt”, with the ridged segments forming a large pinwheel shape. A textural stripe pattern is used on the back and sleeves.

Finished Size: X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, XL) to fit Bust: 35 (38, 42, 45, 49)”/89 (96.5, 106.5, ¼.5, ¼.5)cm. Length: 22 (23.5, 25, 26.5, 28)”/56 (59.5, 63.5, 67.5, 71)cm.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Moss (85% merino wool, 15% nylon; 163 yd [147m]/50g): #05 lilac, 7 (7, 9, 10, 11) balls.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 16 sts and 20 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in Ladder Rib using #9 (for Back) and Counterpane of 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5, 9)” square on #6 needle.
Needles: Size 6 (4mm) dpns and Size 9 (5.5) needles and E-4 (3.5mm) crochet hook. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
