Description

This simplified ring design makes an intriguing and beautiful dimensional infinity ring. Gemstone beads strung together on a wire are set on a channel band and hammered into place, making the process of setting the gems much easier. This beginner-friendly project works up within two hours, so you can show off your work in no time!

Skills: Beginner metalsmithing

Materials:

  • (1) 20-gauge 3/8” x 3” sterling silver sheet
  • (7”) 26 gauge sterling silver wire
  • (3”) strand of 2 mm faceted or raw ct gemstone beads

Tools: Rolling mills, texture sheets, tweezers, medium solder, solder pick, third hand, flux in spray bottle, butane torch, butane, solder board, cross locking tweezers, crock pot and pickle, copper tongs, soft bristle brass brush, file, metal shears, ring mandrel, flat nose pliers, steel block, rawhide or plastic mallet, chasing hammer, dapping tools, liver of sulfur, fine steel wool, jewelers glue; tumbler (optional)
