Satiny slubs punctuate a simple rib pattern in this after-hours clutch. Add crocheted pins (instructions included) or leave it unadorned; either way, your bag won’t go unnoticed.

Finished Size: 11″ (28 cm) wide at top, 13″ (33 cm) wide at base, and 6??” (16.5 cm) high.
Yarn: Muench Cleo (87% rayon, 13% metal: 62 yd [56 m]/ 50 g): #129 Pinedes, 2 balls.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 15 sts and 22?? rows = 4″ (10 cm) in k1, p1 rib with larger needles.
Needles: Bag – Sizes 7 and 9 (4.5 and 5.5 mm): straight. I-cord – Size 6 (4 mm): set of 2 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; 24″ (61 cm) ??” (1.3-cm) diameter dowel; ?? yd (.5 meter) lining fabric; 21″ (53.5 cm) Lucite chain; magnetic snap (chain and snap available from Sunbelt Fastener; www.sunbeltfashion.com).
