Description

An easy one-row pattern in a dense, textured stitch forms the fabric for this fitted and flared coat. Sleeve cuff slits and shaped side panels give the garment a Manhattan touch, while the warm wool yarn gives it a more casual appeal. Find some large funky buttons to provide a stylish finish, and you’ve got a cold-weather essential for years to come.

Finished Size: 42 (44 ½, 46 ½, 48 ½, 51 ½)” bust circumference, buttoned. Coat shown measures 46 ½”.
Yarn: Classic Elite Duchess (40% merino, 28% viscose, 15% nylon, 10% cashmere, 7% angora; 75 yd [68 m]/1 ¾ oz [50 g]; CYCA #5 bulky): #1055 patrician port, 21 (23, 24, 26, 28) balls.
Yarn weight: #5 – Bulky
Gauge: 12 sts and 12 rows = 4″ in patt st.
Needles: Hooks: Size K/10 (6.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; three 1 ½” diameter buttons.
