Chullo Hat and Gloves Crochet Pattern Download

Description

Inspired by the chullo hat style of Peru and the tapestry crochet techniques of many cultures, this duo is playful and warm. Using thinner yarn to crochet the fingerless gloves alleviates any bulk in the fingers, while a heavier yarn in the same colors makes a comfy, color-coordinated hat.

Finished Size: Hat: 22 ½” circumference; glove: 8″ circumference and 9″ from top of glove to base of cuff.
Yarn: Hat: Mission Falls 1824 Wool (100% merino superwash; 85 yd [78 m]/13?4 oz [50 g]): #024 (A), 2 skeins; #009 (B), 1 skein. Gloves: Mission Falls 136 Wool (100% merino superwash; 136 yd [124 m]/13?4 oz [50 g]; ): #024 (C), 2 skeins; #009 (D), 1 skein. Yarns distributed by CNS Yarns.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium.
Gauge: Hat, Rnds 1 5 = 3″ diameter in patt with larger hook; gloves, 20 sts and 20 rows = 4″ in sc with smaller hook.
Hook: Sizes I/9 (5.5 mm) and H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
