Description

A knitted market bag is worked in the round from the bottom up. The flat gusseted bottom, strap, and exterior sections are worked in a brioche pattern, while a lace pattern is worked in the center of the bag body.

Finished Size 28″ circumference and 15″ tall, not including strap.
Yarn Nashua Handknits Creative Focus Cotton (100% mercerized cotton; 93 yd [84 m]/50 g): #24 ivory, 7 balls. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.
Yarn Weight #2 – Fine
Needles Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Gauge 20 sts and 48 rows = 4″ in purl brioche st.
