Cheezies Earrings Project Download

Description

Create these earrings that resemble swiss cheese using hand punches. Punching the holes before texturing allows for distortion of the otherwise boring punched circles.

Finished Size: Each earring is approximately ½” x 2″
Required Materials:

• 22-gauge copper sheet, 1″ x 2″ rectangle
• 20-gauge sterling silver half hard round wire, 7″

Tools: Metal shears, heavy leather work gloves for working with shears (optional), planishing or ball peen hammer, bench block, heavy duty hand punch with 3/32″ and 7/32″ punches, round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, flat-nose pliers, flush cutters, file, ruler, ultra fine marker, sanding sponge or steel wool, baking soda toothpaste (optional)
