Finished Size: 9¼ (9½, 10, 10¼, 10¾, 11)” sole length and 3¾” sole width after felting. Slippers shown measure 10¼” after felting.
Yarn: Manos Del Uruguay Maxima (100% extra fine Merino wool; 219 yd [200 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #M2426 Stratus (MC) and #M2175 Shocking, 1 hank each. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.
Needles: Size 8 (5 mm): straight or 24″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle with sharp point; 3″ piece of cardboard. Gauge 16 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in Garter st, before felting; 21 sts and 42 rows = 4″ in Garter st, after felting.
