Description

Lariats draw attention from the wearer’s neck down to her attire. They look especially nice peeking out of an open collar or dripping over the top of a shirt.

Lariats are also very versatile-most can be tied in three ways: folded in half with the loose ends drawn through the loop formed at the fold, both ends used as one to tie an overhand knot, or the ends used separately to tie an overhand knot.

My golden lariat took no time at all to make: I strung the vintage beads onto vermeil leaf-end head pins, which I attached to the ends of the vermeil chain. Talk about easy elegance.

Materials: Vintage molded resin ovals, head pins, German metal, oval chain. See project for complete list.

Tools Needed: Flat-nose pliers, round-nose pliers, wire cutters

Techniqes Used: Wireworking

Finished Size: 41 ½” (105.5 cm)
