Mini-cables made with an exciting new technique adorn the backs and outline the thumbs of these cleverly constructed mitts crocheted from the bottom up. Stretchy slip-stitch ribbing keeps the top and bottom edges soft and secure.

Finished Size: About 6 (7, 7 ¾ )" hand base circumference and 6 (6 ¾, 6 ¾)" long.
Specific Yarn Used: Plymouth Yarn Galway Sport (100% wool; 150 yd [137 m]/1. oz [50 g]): #0751 medium grey heather, 1 skein.
Hook: Size G/6 (4.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: St marker (m); yarn needle; stitch holders or bobby pins, 4–6.
Gauge: 18 sts and 14 rows = about 4” in hdc cl background pattern.
