Description

The terrific Brenda’s Basketweave Bag is an easygoing messenger bag sturdy enough for all your school or work needs. This tote bag incorporates a basketweave crochet stitch pattern made from double crochet post stitches to create texture and visual interest.

Finished Size: 13 ½” wide, 12″ tall, and 2 ¾” deep.
Yarn: Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool (100% wool; 465 yd [425 m]/8 oz [227 g]; ): #125 brown heather (MC), 2 skeins; #126 nature’s brown (CC), 1 skein.
Yarn Weight: #4 – Medium
Hook: Sizes G/6 (4 mm) and F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers (m); yarn needle; two 1 ½” buttons.
Gauge: 18 sts and 14 rows = 4″ in basketweave patt with larger hook and 1 strand of yarn; 15 sts and 17 rows = 4″ in sc with smaller hook and 2 strands of yarn. Gauge measured after blocking.
