Description

These socks use a braided rib, which looks like a cable but is knitted without a cable needle, to create vertical interest and distract the eye from the yarn’s horizontal striping effect. Extra elasticity in the leg gives great flexibility in fit and makes this pair comfortable as well as attractive.

Finished Size: About 7V (9V)” (19 [24] cm) foot circumference and 9W (10V)” (23.5 [26.5] cm) long from back of heel to tip of toe.
Yarn: Fingering weight (Super Fine #1). Shown here: Colinette JitterBug (100% merino
wool; 320 yd [291 m]/110 g): #55 Toscana, 1 (2) ball(s).
Needles: U.S. size 2 (2.75 mm): set of 4 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge
Notions: Marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 15 stitches and 21 rounds = 2″ (5 cm) in stockinette stitch worked in the rnd.
