Description

Inspired by the blooming freshness of new spring flowers, Robyn Chachula designed this lightweight kimono to take you out of winter blues and into spring brights. The as-you-go construction calls for some attentiveness, but, when you’re done, you will reach for this kimono again and again.

Finished Size: 35 (38, 44, 47 ½, 52 ½, 57)” bust circumference. Garment shown measures 35″ and is modeled with 1″ ease.
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Dyed (100% organically grown cotton; 150 yd [137 m]/ 2 ¼ oz [65 g]; ): #314 gravel (MC), 7 (8, 10, 11, 13, 14) hanks; #304 zinc (CC1), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) hanks; #310 coffee (CC2), 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) hanks.
Yarn Weight: #3 – Light
Gauge: Diameter of granny motif = 4 3/8″ with small hook; diameter of granny motif = 4 ¾” with medium hook; diameter of granny motif = 5 1/8″ with large hook.
Hook: Sizes G/6 (4 mm), H/8 (5 mm), and I/9 (5.5 mm) hooks. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. See Notes.
Notions: Large-eyed needle; rust-proof pins; 12″ of grosgrain ribbon; 3 hook and eyes; sewing needle; matching sewing thread.
