Yarnovers and decreases become intensely sculptural in a soft 100% wool roving-style yarn in Cecily Clowik MacDonald’s Big Montana Tunic. An oversize cowl, negative ease, and a long A-line silhouette make a chunky-yarn garment flattering and versatile.

Finished Size 30 ¼ (34 ¾, 39, 43 ½, 47 ¾)” bust circumference. Tunic shown measures 30 ¼”, modeled with some negative ease.
Yarn Tahki Montana (100% wool; 130 yd [120 m]/100 g): #03 bark, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) skeins.
Yarn Weight #4 – Medium
Needles Body. size 13 (9 mm): 24″ circular (cir). Armhole ribbing. size 11 (8 mm): 16″ cir. Cowl. size 15 (10 mm): 24″ cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); large stitch holder or waste yarn; tapestry needle.
Gauge 11 sts and 14 rows = 4″ in rev St st on middle-size needle; 13 sts of lace panel measure 5″ wide on middlesize needle.
