Description

Mary Gehling sets a berry-in-a-box lace pattern into a framework of deeply carved single-rib lines to create lush, tactile texture. Worked in one piece in a softly haloed possum-blend yarn, the Berry and Bramble Cardigan is simple to knit, flattering, and comfortable.

Finished Size 28 ½ (33, 34, 37 ½ , 43)” bust circumference with fronts overlapping. Cardigan shown measures 33″, modeled with zero ease. See Notes about sizing.
Yarn Naturally Karamea (75% merino, 15% alpaca, 10% possum; ¼ yd [¼ m]/50 g): #351 lilac, 8 (10, 10, 11, 13) skeins. Yarn distributed by Fiber Trends.
Yarn Weight #3 – Light
Needles Size 9 (5.5 mm): 24″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Gauge 21 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in berry-in-a-box patt; 21 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in hunter rib.
