Description
Nordic colorwork is softened with an alpaca yarn and electrified with crystal buttons, which are pre-strung on the yarn and worked with bead-knitting.
Finished Size: 34 (38, 42 1/2, 47, 51 1/2)” bust circumference, buttoned.
Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca (50% super fine alpaca, 50% Peruvian wool; 215 yd [197 m]/31/2 oz [100 g]): #6204 buckwheat (MC), 5 (5, 6, 7, 7) skeins; #62189 barley (CC), 1 skein.
Needles: Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 24″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); removable m; stitch holders; 44 (59, 67, 71, 96) beads (shown: Crystaletts crystal buttons, 3 mm light peach/rose gold bezel); thin wire or needle for stringing beads; seven 7/16″ buttons; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rnds = 4″ in St st on larger needle.
