Description

A classic pair of mittens is offered in three sizes, from children’s to adult’s. The twisted-stitch cable pattern creates an unusual tulip motif.

Finished Size: 7 ” hand circumference, to fit child’s large (woman’s medium, woman’s large). Mittens shown in middle size.
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted (100% superwash wool; 225 yd [206 m]/114 g): #54ns firefly (gold), 1 skein for all sizes.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 25″ sts and 34 rnds = 4″ in St st; 24 (24, 26) back-of-hand sts in patt from charts with rev St sts measure about 3″ (3″ , 3″ )” wide.
Needles: Size 3 (3.25 mm): set of doublepointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); cable needle (cn); waste yarn holders.
