Description

A roomy knitted satchel that features a grid of interwoven cubes depicted in textural stitches. The complex image, resembling Art Deco metalwork grilles, is easily accomplished in stitchwork. The natural contours of the staggered stacking diamond-shaped stitch repeats form the outline of the bag.

Finished Size: Width at widest point: 20″/51cm. Length: 15″/38cm.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Granite (95% merino wool, 5% nylon; 55 yd [50m]/50g): #01 quartz, 4 balls.
Yarn weight: #6- Super Bulky
Gauge: 10 sts and 12 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in charted pattern using #11 needles.
Needles: Size 11 (8mm) needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: One pair wooden purse handles with 11-12″ slat opening, fabric for lining, sewing needle and matching thread, yarn needle.
