Lisa Shroyer says, “The combination of oranges and blues in these socks reminded me of a trip to New Mexico and Bandelier National Park.” A plied 100% wool in seven colors creates a traditionally rich Fair Isle feel with a decidedly nontraditional Southwestern motif in the Bandelier Socks.

Finished Size: 7 ½” foot circumference and 9 ¾” long from back of heel to tip of toe, to fit U.S. women’s shoe size 8 ½ to 9. See Notes for tips on adjusting size.
Yarn: Brown Sheep Nature Spun Fingering (100% wool; 310 yd [283 m]/50 g): #720 ash (MC), #111 plumberry (dark wine), #N89 roasted coffee (brown), #133 blue fog (light blue), #101 burnt sienna (rust), #N18 plum line (purple), and #145 salmon, 1 ball each.
Yarn Weight: #2 – Fine
Needles: Size 1 (2.25 mm): set of doublepointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 28 sts and 32 rnds = 3″ in charted patt in the rnd.
