Description

This shaped, tunic-length vest with attached scarf does have a few seams (three to be exact), but the finishing is minimal. A special edging worked as part of the front pieces makes a curl-free selvedge at the center opening and armholes. Even the button holes are worked at the same time, within the front edging.

Finished Size: 31 (34, 37, 41, 45, 49)” bust; shown in size 34″ with zero ease
Yarn: Tahki Donegal Tweed (100% wool; 183 yd [167 m]/100 g): #894 dark gray-green, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm) needles; Size 6 (4 mm) needles
Gauge: 16 sts and 23 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles; 26 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in 2 – 2 rib on smaller needles, slightly stretched
Notions: Yarn needle; Five ¾” buttons; Sewing needle and matching thread
