These socks are worked in an organic branching vine pattern, suggesting woods and arbors.

Description

The pattern is symmetrical across the left and right sock, keeping the knitting interesting -bobbles are optional for functional wear. A very lightly variegated hand-dyed wool sock yarn shows off the texture but doesn’t detract.

Finished Size: 7″ foot circumference and 9″ from back of heel to tip of toe. To fit women’s U.S. shoe size 6 ½, with instructions given for adjusting foot length.
Yarn: ShibuiKnits Sock (100% superwash merino; 191 yd [175 m]/50 g): #S7533 bark (chocolate brown), 2 skeins.
Yarn weight: #1 – Super Fine
Gauge: 30 sts and 44 rows = 4″ in St st in the rnd.
Needles: Size 00 (2 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; cable needle (cn); markers (m); stitch holder (optional).
