Description

Hook up a tote for the changing season! This messenger-style bag was inspired by the colors of autumn and features large leaf motifs and an acorn closure. Worked in two yarns, the bag has all the rich texture of a forest floor.

Finished Size: About 15″ long and 10″ high, excluding strap.
Yarn: Colinette Skye (100% wool; 150 yd [138 m]/3 ½ oz [100 g]; CYCA #4 medium): #110 autumn leaves (A), 1 skein. Colinette Mohair (78% mohair, 13% wool, 9% nylon; 191 yd [175 m]/3 ½ oz [100 g]; CYCA #4 medium): #112 velvet gold (B), #124 celadon, (C) #113 velvet leaf (D), 1 skein each. Yarns distributed by Unique Kolours.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 12 sc and 14 rows = 4″ in stripe sequence.
Needles: Hooks: Size J/10 (6 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; safety pins; one 1″ wood ball.
