Description

Aboard the Titanic, John Jacob Aster IV and his young bride Madeline were ultimately separated by disaster. Inspired by their love, this piece features a delicately colored and extremely rare mix of rhodonite and quartz flecked with bits of silver and gold. Tell your own story based on this piece with whatever stone means the most to you.

Required Materials: 1 stone, size and shape of your choice, 1 2.5-3.0mm stone, 20 gauge sterling, 24 gauge sterling ” inch x 3 ” inch, 22 or 24 gauge copper, bezel wire, 1 premade tube set to match the size of the faceted stone (sterling or gold), Easy, medium or hard solder, epoxy glue. Tools Needed: Sawframe, gem tweezers, round bezel mandrel, torch and soldering supplies, firebrick, pickle, crock pot, T pins, Lasco diamond drill bits or Lasco core drill, the size of the OD of the tube set. See project for complete list
