Description

This cap will keep little heads toasty while the baseball cap-style brim keeps sun or rain off the face, without slipping down over baby’s eyes.

Finished Size: Small (Medium, Large) cap is sized to fit 16 (18, 19.5)” ([40.5, 45.5, 49.5] cm) head circumference. Cap shown is a size Small (16″ [40.5 cm] circumference).
Yarn: Worsted weight (#4 Medium). Shown: Caron, Simply Soft Eco (80% acrylic, 20% NatureSpun post-consumer recycled polyester; 249 yd [227 m]/5 oz [142 g]): #0017 spring moss (MC), 1 skein. Caron, Simply Soft (100% acrylic; 157 yd [143 m]/3 oz [85 g]): #2604 bone (CC), 1 skein.
Hook: 1/9 (5.50 mm) and H/8 (5.00 mm) or hooks needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends; lightweight cardboard for brim; tracing paper and pencil.
Gauge: 16 dc by 12 rows in cap pattern = 4″ x 4″ (10 x 10 cm).
