Raised diagonal bands of knitted stitches add movement and texture to the Alloy Mitts. These mitts are worked in the round from the cuff up and use simple thumb shaping to create the perfect fit. Add optional silver foil to the diagonal stitches to give the mitts a bit of shine.

Finished Size: 7 ¾ (9)” hand circumference and 6 (7)” long. Mitts shown measure 9″.

Specific Yarn Used: Juniper Moon Farm Fourteen (90% Merino wool, 10% cashmere; 147 yd [135 m]/ 1 ¾ oz [50 g]): #02 Dreamscape, 1 ball (see Notes). Yarn distributed by Knitting Fever.

Needles: Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 9 (5.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); waste yarn for thumb; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rnds = 4″ in St st on larger needles.
