Description

Worked in the round from the top down in a yarn with great stitch definition, this capelet with an interesting front cable panel brings a smart layering piece to the modern wardrobe.

Difficulty: Intermediate
Finished Size: 45¼ (48½, 53¾, 57)" circumference at lower edge. Capelet shown measures 45¼".

Specific Yarn Used: Tahki Yarns Vermont (50% merino wool, 50% alpaca; 93 yd [85 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #110 stone heather, 7 (8, 10, 12) balls.
Needles: 8 (5 mm): 24" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m; see Notes); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle; three ¾" buttons.
Gauge: 19 sts and 24 rnds = 4" in St st; 48 sts of Chart A = 6½" wide.
Notes: The body of this capelet is worked in the round from the top down. Stitches for the buttoned collar are picked up along the neck edge and worked flat. Use a different-colored marker at beginning of round.
