Description

Materials Needed to Complete this Project:

  • 20 gauge silver sheet, 2″x2¼
  • Free form Picasso stone cabochon
  • Bezel strip, 4½″and ⅛″ high
  • 2″ of .25OD x .016 wall tubing
  • Hard and medium solder

Tools Needed to Complete this Project:

  • Layout: Paper, pencil, ruler, fine tip marker, dental floss
  • Hand: Jeweler’s saw, 3/0 or 4/0 blades, blade lubricant, center punch, tubing cutter, dividers, bezel pusher, burnisher, needle files, vise, bench pin, #65 drill bit, flex shaft
  • Soldering: Torch, fireproof surface, solder pick, flux and brush, copper tongs, pickle and pot, quench water and baking soda, striker
  • Finishing: Sandpaper, sanding brushes, liver of sulfur, tiny brush
  • Safety: Please, use good ventilation, an exhaust fan, goggles and a face mask when soldering. Your health is important. Always follow all safety precautions when using power tools. Drill bits, especially tiny ones can break easily. Again, use goggles whenever you are using tools.
