Description

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend and we couldn’t agree more. This is a fun project that creates 3-dimensional wire diamonds easily
connected into a focal with jump rings. This is a wonderful project for someone wanted to expand their wire jewelry skills.

Tools and Supplies:

    18-gauge dark annealed steel wire (or
    16-gauge copper, silver, or other nonferrous
    wire), 54″
  • 28-gauge dark annealed steel wire (or
    26-gauge non-ferrous wire), 96″
  • 8mm copper trade-bead (or other
    large-holed bead), 3
  • Epoxy putty for steel (QuickSteel or
    SteelStick brands)
  • 5/16″ deerskin leather lacing, 6mm
  • Ruler
  • White charcoal pencil (or other white
    marking utensil)
  • Heavy duty wire cutters
  • Chain-nose pliers
  • Flat-nose pliers
  • Bench block or anvil
  • Hammer: 4-6 oz. utility or ball peen
    hammer
  • Equalizing (or other) needle file
  • Wire brush or fine steel wool (00)
  • Renaissance wax and soft cloth
