Interweave Crochet Fall 2018 Lookbook

I love fall. It is without a doubt my favorite season. The summer heat is dissipating, there is a crispness to the air, the leaves are changing, and I have so many crochet projects to start!

Fall is the start of sweater (and cozy accessory) season, and if you’re like me, you have snuggly cardigans, simple pullovers, stunning shawls, and warm hats and mittens on your mind. The projects in the About Town story are sure to be favorites that you’ll want to show off as you venture into the fall season.

And if it gets too cold outside, cuddle at home with our collection of home décor projects. The Sweet Abode story features a wide range of designs to dress up your home on those chilly fall evenings. It even includes a crochet unicorn and a vase cozy made from recycled fabric!

Also in this issue, Shannon Mullett-Bowlsby explains his secret to using shadow stitches to create stunning crochet cables, and Juliette Bezold is back with yet another new take on Tunisian; you must try her Tunisian mock-cables technique! And our very own project editor, Susanna Tobias, explores cables and lattice stitches with the ever-popular corner-to-corner technique.

As you are settling in for the chilly weather, consider how your crochet projects can make a difference in someone’s life. Read up on an easy project that keeps plastic out of landfills and helps people experiencing homelessness.

Fall is the time of year for crochet. We hope this issue helps you feel inspired to create this season!

Happy stitching!

Sara
