Bernat Baby Coordinates (75% acrylic, 22% rayon, 3% nylon; 388 yd [355 m]/5 oz [140 g]; ): #48005 white (J), #48128 soft blue (K), #48420 baby pink (L), 1 skein each.

Hook Size D/3 (3.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions Stitch marker (m); embroidery floss (pink or black); button (or upholstery) thread (in matching colors); yarn needle; sewing needle; embroidery needle; E beads (black or preferred color), 2 per animal; .25″ 2-hole buttons (white or preferred color), 2 per animal; fiberfill.

Gauge 5 sc and 5 rows = 1″ in sc. Gauge is not critical for this project.

Note Each animal is worked with the same basic body, arms, and legs.

African-Flowers-Blanket

African Flowers Blanket by Deborah Bagley

This beautiful blanket is made from forty African flower hexagons that are sewn together to form a natural edge for the chevron pattern. The blanket is worked in strips of flowers and chevrons that are stitched together. There’s no rule that says each flower has to be identical: rearrange the color order to let your style shine.

Warbler-Rattle
